Gambaran Pengetahuan Santri Tentang Penyakit Scabies Di Pondok Pesantren Modern Babun Najah Desa Doy Kecamatan Ulee Kareng Kota Banda Aceh

Abstract


Scabies is a contagious disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei var hominis. This study aims to describe the level of knowledge of the students of the Islamic Boarding School of the Moderate Babun Najah Doy Village, Ulee Kareng District, Banda Aceh City. The design of this study was descriptive, with a population of all students in the Babun Najah Moderent Islamic Boarding School as many as 347 students. Large sample size of 77 respondents, the study was conducted on December 5, 2019. The sample in this study was taken with probability sampling type of simple random sampling, which is taking a random sample from the population. The analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that 77 respondents obtained from the description of students' knowledge about the understanding of scabies 42 (54.5%), causes of scabies 48 (62.4%). prevention of scabies is in the high category with a frequency of 45 (58.4%). It was concluded that most of the santri in Pondok Pasantren Moderent babun Najah Doy Village, Ulee Kareng Subdistrict, Banda Aceh City had a high level of knowledge about scabies. Suggestions for students to pay attention to personal hygiene and the environment, so as to avoid scabies.
