Abstract

In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 new technologies emerged that resulted in changes in all fields including education. If the teacher's function is limited to the transfer of knowledge to students or just teaching in the classroom, the role will be replaced by technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Technology continues to change to make things faster and cheaper, but today there are still many teachers who are resistant to technological developments even though the world of education has transformed. Even though nowadays it is needed the best teachers who understand the dynamics of class and utilize technology to educate students. Technology will make teachers more confident and easier to teach their students so that they can transform classrooms into creative, innovative and fun learning spaces. This paper aims to reveal the role of teachers and education in the industrial era 4.0. The method used is a literature study with analytical descriptive techniques. The results showed Education 4.0 was the answer of the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in the world of education and the role of teachers was irreplaceable in the era of the Industrial revolution 4.0.
