Kegiatan Penyuluhan Hipertensi di Desa Lamtrieng Kecamatan Kuta Baro

Abstract

Hypertension as one of the most common non-communicable diseases found in primary medical practice. Complications of hypertension can affect various target organs such as the heart, brain, kidneys, eyes, and peripheral arteries. In a meta-analysis study that included 61 prospective observational studies in 1 million patients equivalent to 12 million person-years, it was found that a decrease in the mean systolic blood pressure by 2 mm Hg can reduce the risk of mortality from ischemic heart disease and reduce the risk of mortality from stroke by 10%. A TEAM of community service lecturers and students carry out activities in the form of outreach related to education about hypertension. The socialization activity was carried out on September 30 2019 at Lamtrieng Village, Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar District. The benefits of this socialization aim to add insight and educate the public to understand the signs and symptoms of hypertension and how to handle hypertension. The activity support team consists of lecturers and nursing students, village heads and community members of Lamtrieng Village, Kuta Bari District, Aceh Besar District. In general, this community service activity aims to provide understanding to the public regarding hypertension.
