GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG PERTOLONGAN PERTAMA ISPA PADA BALITA DI UPTD PUSKESMAS KAJEUNG KECAMATAN SUNGAIMAS KABUPATEN ACEH BARAT

Abstract

Abstract: Acute Respiratory Distress (ARD) infection is a crucial cause of child’s morbidity and mortality. Under five years child is a highty vulnerable age group suffering all kinds of infections and needs high nutrition compared to other age groups. This condition leads to the increase of mortality rate because of ARD. Especially in babies and infabts. Almost 4 million people in the world dies because of ARD every year. 98% of them suffers ARD. Puspose: To know the description of first aid of ARD based on occupation and mother’s knowledge, to know the description of the first aid of ARD based on education. Method:  The design used was cross-sectional analisys. The sampling method used in this study was probability sampling by random sampling method.Result: The good first aid of ARD was done by most of the mothers who have good knowledge with total 0f 38 (55,1%) respondents. The good first aid of ARD was done by medium education mothers with the total of 25 (56,8%) respondents. The good first aid of ARD was done by mother’s aged 20-30 years old with the total of 28 (57,1%) respondents
