Hubungan Pengetahuan Ibu Dengan Cakupan Imunisasi Vitamin A

Abstract

Vitamin A is one micronutrients that has very important benefits for the human body, especially is human vision. As in known Vitamin A is the first fat-soluble vitamin found. In general, vitamin A is a generic name which states all retinoids and precursors / provitamin A/ carotenoids which have biological activity as retinol. The problem of vitamin A deficiency is still one of nutrional problems of the people in Indonesia. Seeing the prevalence of subclinical vitamin A deficiency in children under five is still high, the high-dose vitamin A supplementation program given twicw a year to children aged 6-59 month starting in 1978 continues.The result method is quantitative with cross secsional design. The results is responden with the most age were 12-59 month (89,1%), more were given vitamin A (71,7%) and more had good knowledge (62,5%). Most of the respondent who were given vitamin A has good kowlwdge (87,9%). The majority of responden who were not given vitamin A had less knowledge (57,7%). The results of bivariate analysis using chi-square test to determine the relationship of knowledge with vitamin A administration showed P value = 0,000(≤0,05). The conclusion is our study suggests there is asignificant  relationship between knowledge and vitamin A
