Perbandingan Kecemasan Wanita Bekerja dan Tidak Bekerja Terhadap Kesiapan Menjalani Masa Menopause di Desa Punge Blang Cut Kecamatan Jaya Baru Kota Banda Aceh

Abstract


Menopause causes more than 80% of women to suffer from physical and psychological complaints with various stresses and impaired quality of life. Working women usually have better self-adjustment than non-working women. This research aimed to compare the anxiety between working and non-working women on their readiness to face menopause in Punge Blang Cut Village, Jaya Baru Sub-district, Banda Aceh City. The quantitative study used descriptive correlative methods with a cross-sectional design. The sample was 80 women who were undergoing menopause, divided into 40 working women and 40 non-working women, chosen by using the Selovin formula from a total population of 420 women. This research was conducted from September 07 to September 11, 2023. The results of statistical tests using the chi-square test showed a p-value of 0.038 for working women and a p-value of 0.035 for non- working women. The conclusion is that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a difference in anxiety between working and non- working women facing menopause.
