ANALISIS TENTANG KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA SMP NEGERI 1 KUTA BARO ACEH BESAR

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out students’ ability in Mathematical problem solving. Survey was applied as the method of this research through providing students by Mathematical problem solving test. The samples of study were students of SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Baro Aceh Besar, class IX in Academic Year of 2017/2018. Technique of data collection was test, it was by giving the students some instruments of test. Descriptive analytical technique was used as the tool of data analysis, technically, through SPSS and Microsoft Office Excel software. The findings of this research was the ability of mathematical problems solving of students of SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Baro Aceh Besar was still low, it was shown by the average score obtained was 36.16 from the ideal score of 100. The conclusion of the study was the average score of Mathematical problem solving ability of students SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Baro Aceh Besar was still in low score.
