HUBUNGAN PIJAT BAYI TERHADAP KUALITAS TIDUR BAYI DI DESA LUBUK SUKON KECAMATAN INGIN JAYA KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Providing a stimulus such as baby massage is very important for every baby to get better sleep quality and increase appetite. This can support the process of perfect baby development, so that cases of stunting which have been a problem in Aceh and even Indonesia can be resolved. There are 44.2% of infants in Indonesia who experience sleep problems such as frequent awakenings at night. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a one group pre-test and post-test approach without a control group design. This research was conducted in Lubuk Sukon Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar from 04 to 17 May 2023. The population in this study were all infants aged 3-12 months, namely 26 respondents. The sampling technique used is Accidental Sampling. The data was collected by observing the pretest process in infants using the Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire, then giving the baby massage treatment, then carrying out the posttest by observing again using the Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire after 3 days. The data analysis design used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the Normality test, namely the Shapiro-Wilk test with a significant level of 0.05 and the Difference test to compare the average pretest and posttest values of one sample, if the data is normally distributed, the Paired T Test is performed. Meanwhile, if one or both of the results of the normality test are not normally distributed, then a non-parametric statistical test is performed using the Wilcoxon test. The conclusion is that there is an increase in the quality of baby's sleep before being given (pretest) baby massage stimulus which is mostly in the less category, namely 61.5%, while after being given (posttest) baby massage stimulation, the quality of baby's sleep is in the good category, namely 84.46%. The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained a p-value = 0.000, which means that there is a significant relationship between the pretest and posttest baby massage groups on the quality of baby sleep in Lubuk Sukon Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar
