GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP RINITIS ALERGI DI DESA LAMGAPANG KECAMATAN KRUENG BARONA JAYA KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Abstract: Background: Allergic rhinitis is an inflammation of the mucous membranes of the nose, an inflammatory reaction mediated by IgE characterized by obstruction Hisung, liquid nasal secretions, sneezing, and itching of the nose or eyes. Recurrence of allergic rhinitis lead to decreased work productivity, social activities and in patients with a history of severe allergies and long may lead to psychological disorders such as depression. Objective Knowing: overview of the level of public knowledge Lamgapang allergic rhinitis in the village of Krueng Barona Jaya subdistrict, Aceh Besar district. Method: This is a descriptive study with cross sectional approach. The population in this study are all the villagers Lamgapang Krueng Barona Jaya subdistrict, Aceh Besar district with a sample of 96 people. Result: The results showed as many as 35 people (36,5%) had good knowledge, 56 people (58,3%) have sufficient knowledge, and 5 (5,2%) people have less knowledge of the disease allergic rhinitis. Furthermore, as many as 37 people (38,5%) had good knowledge, 57 people (59,4%) have sufficient knowledge, and 2 (2,1%) have less knowledge on the prevention of disease of allergic rhinitis. Conclusion The level of public knowledge of the disease is allergic rhinitis in both categories and the knowledge society in the prevention of allergic rhinitis also be in either category.
