HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP LANSIA TENTANG RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS DI WILAYAH PUSKESMAS BAITURRAHMAN BANDA ACEH

Abstract

Abstract:Rheumatoid arthritis can cause death , for it is scarce and usually the disease is suffered for months to years . Then
based on preliminary data collection in the work area of the Baiturrahman health center in Banda Aceh , on Friday 20-21 April
2018 where the writer conducted interviews with 12 elderly people in the work area of the Baiturrahman Community Health
Center , it was found that 7 elderly people did not understand about rheumatoid arthritis , and 6 of the elderly did not know the
attitude to deal with rheumatoid arthritis , while 2 elderly people understood about rheumatoid disease and attitude in handling
rheumatoid arthritis . Rheumatoid Arthritis in the Baiturrahman Health Center Banda Aceh in 2019. The research design used in
this study is descriptive correlative . The total population is 1361 people and a sample of 43 respondents . The time of data
collection began on January 9 , 2019 , until 13 January 2019 using a questionnaire compiled by the writer himself . Data
analysis was done by using the Chi - Square test . The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between the
knowledge of the elderly about rheumatoid arthritis in the work area of Baiturrahman Health Center Banda Aceh 2019 with a
value of p = 0.013 . There is a relationship between the attitude of the elderly about rheumatoid arthritis in the work area of
Baiturrahman Health Center Banda Aceh in 2019 with a value of p = 0.009 . The study concludes that there is a relationship
between knowledge and attitudes of the elderly regarding rheumatoid arthritis in the work area of Baiturrahman Community
Health Center banda Aceh 2019. Researchers recommend increasing their insight and experience about knowledge and lifestyle
behaviors for the elderly with rheumatoid arthritis
