Faktor Risiko Tuberkulosis Paru Kambuh (Relaps) di Kabupaten Pidie

Abstract

Pulmonary TB is one of the infectious diseases in Indonesia. Relapsed pulmonary TB is a TB patient who has previously received TB treatment, and has been declared cured or complete treatment, re-diagnosed with smear-positive TB. This study will examine the risk factors for recurrence in TB patients in Pidie District.This research is an analytic observational research using a case control design. The population in this study were 36 patients with relapsed TB in Pidie District. By using a ratio of 1:1, the number of samples in this study was 72 people consisting of 36 cases and 36 people as controls. Data collection was carried out in May 2020 using a questionnaire. Data analysis using logistic regression test. The results showed that the variables that had significant values were as follows: occupation with TB recurrence (OR=5.4; 95% CI: 1.12-28.4; p value= 0.035), underweight nutritional status (OR=5.7; 95% CI: 1.66- 19.6; p value = 0.006), floor of the house does not meet the requirements (OR = 3.3 ; 95% CI : 1.23-9.10 ; p value = m 0.018), smoking (OR = 2.8 ; 95% CI : 1.08-7.47 ; p value 0.034), non-adherent to treatment (OR= 7.795% CI : 2.45-24.4 ; p value 0.0001), DM (OR= 3.5 ; 95% CI : 1.19-10.7 ; p value 0.023). The conclusion of the study is that the variable most related to the recurrence of pulmonary TB treatment is non-adherent treatment adherence (OR = 20.3; 95% CI: 3.73-958), (P value 0.002) meaning that respondents who do not adhere to treatment tend to be 20 times more at risk for experienced recurrence in pulmonary TB treatment compared to other variables.To the Pidie District Health Office through the Puskesmas in order to increase the discovery of relapsed TB cases in suspected TB patients, such as TB patients who work in the non-formal sector, underweight nutritional status, house floors do not meet the requirements. To health workers on duty in TB services to be able to provide education to TB patients about the impact of smoking on pulmonary TB treatment.
