Gambaran Pengetahuan Perawat Tentang Perawatan Luka Ganggren Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus

Abstract

The results interviews with 10 nurses, 3 of whom were still knowledgeable about ganggren wound care in patients with diabetes mellitus, and 7 nurses knew but did not pay attention to the sterile and non-sterile principles, the nurses' knowledge of wound care was still low due to lack of training in wound care. The purpose of the study was to find out the description of nurses' knowledge about gangrene wound care in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Aqsa II and Aqsa Room III Regional General Hospital Dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh in 2018. This research uses descriptive research design. The population was all nurses in the Aqsa II and Aqsa Room III totaling 47 nurses. Total sampling was taken by 47 nurses. The results of research on nurses' knowledge about lifting dead tissue categories were carried out by 34 respondents (72.3%), eliminating pus categories as many as 25 respondents (53.1%), keeping the category wound moisture as many as 33 respondents (70.2%) and supporting the healing period as many as 24 respondent (51.0%). Suggestions are expected to nurse Aqsa II and Aqsa III room at the Regional General Hospital Dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh to attend wound care training in order to increase nurses' knowledge especially wound care.
