Hubungan Anemia pada Ibu Hamil dengan Kejadian Bayi Prematur di Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak Banda Aceh
Abstract
Premature birth is a baby born at preterm gestation before 37 weeks with a fetal weight of less than 2500 grams. The prevalence of prematurity in western countries is 80% of neonatal deaths due to prematurity. The prevalence of prematurity in developing countries is 3.8 million cases annually and the prevalence of prematurity in Indonesia is 10%. The research design was observational with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all babies born with prematurity and the sample was 150 babies born with preterm conditions. Bivariate analysis used the chi square test at the 95% degree of confidence. The results found that 33.3% of mothers had anemia and the p value was 0.000, which means that anemia in pregnant women was significantly associated with the incidence of prematurity. During pregnancy every mother is expected to maintain iron intake through iron supplementation during pregnancy and increase iron intake from daily food consumption.
