GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN RADIO GRAFER TENTANG KESEHATAN DAN KESELAMATAN KERJA DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RSUD dr. ZAINOEL ABIDIN BANDA ACEH

Abstract

Work health and safety is an effort to create a safe and peaceful working atmosphere for the workers as well as loss prevention; disability and death as work-related accident, fire and explosion. The aim of the study is to find out the level of radiographer literacy about work health and safety towards radiographer, in terms of the level of knowledge and radiation protection as well as contamination to patient. This is a descriptive research using purposive sampling. The population of this research is 47 radiographers who work in the Installation of Radiology at dr. Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital Banda Aceh. The sample is 34 radiographers who filled out a questionnaire about how a radiographer prevent their work health and safety in terms of the utilization of radiation protection, work experiences, contamination to patient in the field of radiology. The result shows that the level of knowledge of work health and safety belongs to the category of good understanding, which is 94,1%,  radiation protection is 82,4%, and contamination to patient is 76,5%. Thus, radiographers can maximize the efforts to maintain work health and safety during examination and to protect themselves from work-related accident.
