HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN DAN PENGHASILAN KEPALA KELUARGA DENGAN KARIES GIGI ANAK PADA MASYARAKAT DESA SEUBUN AYON KECAMATAN LHOKNGA ACEH BESAR TAHUN 2019
Abstract
The level of education and income greatly influences healthy behavior in a person. Income has a direct influence on medical care, one of which is dental caries in children. Based on report data from the Lhoknga District Health Center, from January to December 2018 data were obtained with the number of pediatric patients aged 6-12 years who visited were 538 children who experienced dental disease and mouth, including 370 (68%) children who have dental caries.The results showed the respondents with the highest level of education of family heads were in the medium criteria (SMA/Equals) as many as 20 people (57.1%) and the highest income of the head of the family was in the low criteria of as many as 14 people (40%), based on the test results statistic that there is a relationship between the level of education of family heads with dental caries of children (p = 0.047) and also there is a relationship between the income of family heads with dental caries of children (p = 0.006). It can be concluded that there is a relationship between the level of education and income of family heads with dental caries of children. It is expected that parents can increase their knowledge and insight in terms of oral health.
