PEMBERIAN PENYULUHAN DALAM PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN IBU-IBU DI DESA LAGANG KOMPLEK IOM KECAMATAN DARUL IMARAH KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR TERHADAP TINGKAT KEJADIAN STUNTING

Abstract

Abstract:  Stunting (dwarf) is a condition where toddlers have less length and height compared to age caused by multidimensional factors, namely malnutrition experienced by toddlers, lack of mother's knowledge about health and nutrition, impact on intelligence level, susceptibility to disease. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers with efforts to prevent stunting in toddlers. This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design conducted in Lagang Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar in August 2021. The population in this study returned 6 people with a sample of 6 mothers. The sampling technique was proportional random sampling, analysed by univariate and bivariate using chi-square test. The results of the analysis showed that the knowledge of the mother before being given counselling was 6 people in the medium category (15.4%), and the knowledge of the mother before being given counselling was 5 (83.3%). Where p = 0.000 < 0.05 means that there is a significant increase in the level of knowledge of citizens about theimpact and prevention of stunting before and before being given education
