Abstract

Abstract: The home industry of making floor cleaning products and liquid soap is one of the smallscale

industries that is very possible for rural communities, especially housewives and young
women, to increase their income. The purpose of the service activity is to educate the public with
the knowledge and skills of making floor cleaner and liquid soap. Service activities were carried
out in Sango Village, Jaya District, Aceh Jaya Regency. The target beneficiaries of this activity are
mothers and young women, some of whom are not working. The implementation of service activities
are carried out in several stages, namely: providing brochures and procedures for the process of
making floor cleaner and liquid soap; providing the main and supporting ingredients for floor
cleaner and liquid soaps; providing process equipment for floor cleaner and liquid soap;
introducing packaging techniques with appropriate labeling systems and providing packaging
equipment information; providing practical marketing knowledge suitable for home industries. The
results of the service activities show that housewives and young women as beneficiaries have gained
knowledge and skills in the process of making floor cleaning products and liquid soap and they have
been able to produce these products and are committed to continuously making these products and
selling them to the village community.
